I'll stamp all over 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
