In 2026, the fifth installment is scheduled for release. The initial preview for Toy Story 5 appeared recently, providing a brief look into the storyline but leaving fans curious how it will resolve the conclusion of Toy Story 4.
Bonnie's New Toy: A Frog-Shaped Tablet Spooks the Gang
The preview reveals the young girl — who received Andy's toys when he grew up — receiving a brand new toy, one that alarms the familiar toy group. Bonnie acquires her first tablet computer, and she is thrilled about it.
Presumably, the frog-shaped tablet will animate just like the rest of her playthings. Still, the toys appear to consider it as a danger intending to supplant them, which it likely will.
The Cowboy's Comeback: Unanswered Questions from Toy Story 4
An element the trailer avoids is what Woody is back with his friends in the child's bedroom. The end of Toy Story 4 depicted him set off on a fresh journey with Bo Peep (the actress), journeying with a carnival and assisting giveaway items find good homes.
Surely, the filmmakers will address the consequences of Toy Story 4 in the movie. Witnessing him appear in Bonnie's room unexpectedly is somewhat puzzling, though. It also raises questions whether Bo Peep will have returned with Woody. And what about the stuntman toy (Keanu Reeves)?
